Sittings are arranged in such a way that the client does not have to sit for a number of inconveniencing hours. At the first meeting, Paul meets with the client in the client’s home or office to discuss the details of the portrait project, such as where the portrait is to hang and what the portrait’s approximate dimensions will be. A photography session usually takes place at this meeting. Also, Paul may paint a small oil portrait of the client’s head to record various colors of the face. Next, the client and artist review the photographs to determine the best pose and facial expressions to use as reference for the final portrait. In the case of large portraits, a small compositional sketch will be completed in the artist’s studio and sent to the client for approval.
A 50% deposit will be due in advance. Balance due at completion of commission and acceptance by the client.
Not Included In Price: Framing, shipping/crating, artist’s travel expenses, and sales tax
